Obituary of John W. Pisula

Mount Pleasant, John W. "Jack" Pisula, age 78 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Thursday (12/19/13) in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Pisula was born February 28, 1935 in Everson, PA, the son of the late Victor and Mary Kulniczewski Pisula. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Rosary Society. Jack was a 1952 graduate of the former Scottdale High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War who served in the United States Air Force. He was employed until his retirement at the former Westinghouse Corp (currently Powerex). Jack enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 54 years this past Thanksgiving, Rose Marie Lesko Pisula, his grandson, John Michael Pisula, his step granddaughter, Amanda Fess Williams, his daughter in law, Angela Barnes of Jeannette and his brother, James Pisula of San Jose, CA. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, John M. Pisula in 2008, and his brothers, Edward Pisula and his twin brother Thomas Pisula. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday in the funeral home at 12-Noon followed by his 12:30 PM Funeral Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with Military Rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446 will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A Parish Wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday @3:30PM and the Visitation Holy Rosary Society will pray the rosary immediately following.
