Obituary of Carol Marie Anthony Secosky

Carol Marie Anthony Secosky, age 66, of Mount Pleasant, died peacefully Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Bethlen Home Hospice of Ligonier, PA, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Secosky was born July 2, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Gonda) Anthony. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Church of Mt. Pleasant. Carol was a graduate of the Southmoreland High School. She had been employed in the housewares department of Walmart and was also a caregiver for many years for home health care. Carol loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Georgette Oliver and Shane of New Florence, David A. Secosky and Sandy of Pittsburgh, Jeff S. Secosky and Rachael, and Eddie Secosky and Michelle, all of Mount Pleasant, and Kimberly Hillen and Scott of Youngwood. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren, Erika, who is expecting Carol's first great grandson, Tyler, Jason, Nicholas, Ryan, Savanna, and Carter. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; George Anthony, Jr. and Carmella of Alverton, Steve Anthony and Anita of Greensburg, Michael Anthony and Mary Dee of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Lou Weir and Fred of Kecksburg, and Betsy Hann and Donnie of Connellsville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church. Interment will follow in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, PA. A Parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday @3PM.
