Obituary of Joseph Anthony Paglio, Sr.

Mount Pleasant, Joseph Anthony "Punch" Paglio, Sr. age 68 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (08/02/2010) in Jeannette Hospice at Jeanette Hospital. Mr. Paglio was born January 4, 1942 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Antonio and Margaret Carmella Costabile Paglio. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Punch was a graduate of Ramsay High School class of 1959, and an active reunion committee member. He was employed as a Supervisor of the Water and Sewage Treatment Facility for the Borough of Mount Pleasant and had previously worked for the Hempfield Township Water and sewage treatment Plant. Punch was a member of the Assunta Club, and the Sons of Italy both in Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his loving family: his loving wife of 47 years, Connie L. Russell Paglio, his devoted son, Joseph A. Paglio, Jr. of Salisburg, NC and by his brother, Bernard Paglio and his wife Connie of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Punch was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin. He was very generous and caring; a good guy who will be missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 1 to 4 & 6 to 9 pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon Thursday followed by his 12:30 PM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A Parish Wake service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday @3:30PM.
