Obituary of Paul Kundrick

Mount Pleasant, Paul E. "Shiek" Kundrick Jr., age 69 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Saturday (07/6/13) in the William Penn Center, Jeannette, PA. Mr. Kundrick was born February 8, 1944 in Mount Pleasant, the son of the late Paul and Mary Bellush Kundrick. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Paul was a 1964 graduate of the former Hurst High School. Shiek was employed by the former Wayne Pet Foods of Everson, and had worked at the Norvelt Golf Course taking care of their flowers and doing their landscaping. He also worked as a painter for many years. He was a life member of the Shaft Citizens Club, and was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club. Shiek enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Steelers Fan. He was a loving husband and father, and an adoring grandfather. His family was the most important part of his life. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 45 years, Marie Czerniak Kundrick, his daughter, Jaclyn Meador and her husband Nathan of Mt. Pleasant, and his beloved granddaughter, Jaliyah Meador. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Golobish and her husband Larry of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his parents, Shiek was preceded in death by his brother Bernard Paul Kundirck. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home 3PM Monday in the funeral home.
