Obituary of Joseph Stephen Funk

Clarksville, TN Joseph Stephen Funk, age 49 of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Norvelt, PA died unexpectedly Tuesday (6/25/13) in the Gateway Hospital, Clarksville, TN. Mr. Funk was born May 27, 1964 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late William and Pauline Sherbuck Funk. He was a 1982 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. Joe had served in the United States Army, and was currently employed as a construction foreman with the Mace Construction Company of Clarksville,TN. Joe loved his family, and had just become a first time grandfather, and was looking forward to enjoying time with his new grandchild. Joe is survived by his loving family: his children, Bobby Funk of Clarksville, TN and Ashley Shirley and her husband Jeremy of Latrobe, and by his beloved grandson, Bryson Shirley. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Daniel Funk of Somerset, and Pamela Demagall and her husband James of Acme. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 9 AM until 11AM, the time of his funeral service, at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison St., Clarksville, TN 37040.
