Obituary of Elizabeth Ferrell
Lakewood, NJ, Elizabeth "Betty Jane" Burns Ferrell, age 82 of Lakewood, NJ, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday (03/29/13) in the Leisure Chateau Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lakewood, NJ.
Mrs. Ferrell was born September 8, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth King Burns. She was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School, and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement, Betty Jane worked as a Registered Nurse for the Community Memorial Hospital and the former H.C. Frick Hospital in Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by her loving family: her children, Carmen Joseph Ferrell II and Sherry of Dallas, TX, Edward J. Ferrell and Eric of NY, David C. Ferrell and Colleen of Middletown, NJ and Jane Ferrell of Sarasota, FL, and by her grandchildren; Carmen Joseph Ferrell III, Lauren Bruner, Ryan Praizner, Katelin Praizner, Kyle Praizner, Blake Ferrell and Luke Ferrell, and her great granddaughter, Lily Bruner. In addition to her parents, Betty Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen J. Ferrell in 1993, by her brothers, James and William Burns, and by her sisters, Mary Hogan and Dorothy Williams.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30AM followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant.
