Obituary of Eleanor M. Foriska

Mount Pleasant, Eleanor M. "Peg" Grindle Foriska, age 83 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (3/17/13) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Foriska was born April 28, 1929 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late William Henry and Anna Elizabeth Danko Grindle. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. Peg was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. She had worked as a retail clerk for the former Fashion Shop and Ames Department Store. Peg enjoyed working crossword and Jigsaw puzzles, listening to the radio, and she loved to dance. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Peg is survived by her loving family: her brother and sisters; John "Jack" Grindle and his wife Phyllis of Greensburg, Margaret Popovich of Michigan, Marie Roach of Youngwood, Jane Grindle of Latrobe and Elizabeth "Goldie" Zemba and her husband John of Greensburg. She is also survived by her special Niece, Brenda Loucks and her husband Barry of Mt. Pleasant and by numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, William Stanley Foriska in 1982, and her four brothers, William, Russell, Geroge and Arthur Grindle. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 until 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The family suggests contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, in memory of Eleanor M. "Peg" Foriska.
