Obituary of Dorothy Florine Keffer Snedden

New Stanton, Dorothy Florine Keffer Snedden, age 90 of New Stanton, PA, died Tuesday (3/12/2013) in the Scottdale Manor & Rehabilitation Center, Scottdale, PA. Mrs. Snedden was born March 6, 1923 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Grover and Stella Gunder Keffer. She was a member of the New Stanton United Methodist Church. Dorothy was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. She was employed by the Westinghouse Corp. in Youngwood until she retired. Dorothy was an avid flower gardener, and a loyal Steelers Fan. She enjoyed watching the reruns of the Lawrence Welc show, and was a chocolate lover, especially Brown's Candy. Dorothy was a truly kind, sweet lady, a very special person who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Dorothy is survived by her loving family: her niece, Donna Heller and her husband Norman of Mt. Pleasant, several other nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and will especially be missed by her great niece and nephew, Norman C. Heller and Shalyn Heller and her son Neiko Hribal. She is also survived by her step son, Ronald Snedden and Linda of New Stanton and their children, Brian and Michelle and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; Eugene Snedden in 1979 and her brothers and sisters: Infant brother Nevin Keffer, Eugene and George Keffer, Laverne Loutsenhizer, Sarah Mitchell, and Lillie Mae Rhodes. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Additonal viewing will be held Monday from 12-noon until 1:00PM the time of her funeral service at the New Stanton United Methodist Church, 612 S. Center Ave. New Stanton,PA with her Pastor, the Rev.
