Obituary of Theresa Ferrell Grosser

Mount Pleasant, Theresa Ferrell Grosser, age 95 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (02/5/13) in New Haven Court, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Grosser was born September 12, 1917in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose Scala Ferrell. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Theresa was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She was a well known face in the Mount Pleasant Catholic Community, where she worked for many years as the Secretary for the former St Bernardine-St. Joseph Schools, and then Holy Trinity Parish School in Mount Pleasant. She is survived by her loving family: her grandsons; Dr. Patrick P. Flannagan of Wexford, and Douglas W. Flannagan of Charlotte, NC, and their father, Dr. Samuel W. Flannagan and his wife Diane of Greensburg, and her great granddaughter, McKenna Elizabeth Flannagan. Theresa is also survived by her sister, Margaret Ferrell Frederick of CA, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Grosser in 1987, her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Flannagan in 1975, and by her brothers and sisters: Carmen, Vito, Charles, and Ralph Ferrell, Frances Ferrell and Dorothy Ferrell Kearney. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by Theresa's 10:00AM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. James Clark as celebrant. Interment will be in the St Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 3PM.
