Obituary of William A. Lender

Mount Pleasant, William A. Lender, age 77 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (1/1/2013) in the Excela Heath- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mr. Lender was born November 22, 1935 in Irwin, PA, the son of the late Jay and Ann Zavora Lender. Bill attended Irwin High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War who served in the United States Marine Corps. Bill worked as a School Bus Driver for the Yough School District and the Mt. Pleasant Area School District. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant. Bill is survived by his loving family: his children; Dennis A. Lender and his wife Donna of Wilks Barre, Michael J. Lender and his wife Vilma of Dededo, Guam, Kevin W. Lender and his wife Cristina of Reading, and Deborah A. Whitacre and her husband Brian of Massachusettes, his eight Grandchildren and one great grandson. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, William J. Lender in 2003, and by his sister, Norman Jean Ecker. As per the wishes of Mr. Lender, there will be no hours of public visitation. Private Inurnment will be in the Irwin Union Cemetery.
