Obituary of Irene Krug Moore

Mount Pleasant, Irene Krug Moore, age 61 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (10/26/2012) in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Moore was born February 2, 1951 in Tucson, AZ, the daughter of the late James and Martha Diehl Krug. She was a 1969 graduate of Hempfield High School. Irene had served on the Mount Pleasant Area School Board for 4 years. She enjoyed taking trips and long Sunday drives with her late husband and her family. Irene was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her family, especially making brownies for her beloved grandchildren. She was a loving wife and mother, and an adoring grandmother. Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving famly: her children; James Ira Moore, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Mount Pleasant, Wendy S. Monney and her husband Jason of Latrobe, and her precious grandchildren, Madison and Maximus Moore. Irene is also survived by her brother and sister, James E. Krug, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Youngstown, and Ruthie Stauffer of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Moore in 2009, and by her sister; Louise Highlands in 2012. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Irene will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. A parish wake service will be held at 3:15Pm in the funeral home Monday. The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, in Memory of Irene Moore.
