Obituary of Florence Marcinko Burns

Leonardtown, MD. Florence L Marcinko. Burns, age 91 of Leonardtown, MD, formerly of Mount Pleasant died Thursday (10/18/12) in Calvert Memorial Hospital Prince Frederick, MD. Mrs. Burns was born June 19, 1921 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Cich Marcinko. She was a former member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and St. Pius X Parish, both of Mt. Pleasant. and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Florence was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed for many years by the former Bryce Brothers Glass Company of Mt. Pleasant. Florence loved to dance, and to draw. She was an excellent swimmer, and enjoyed playing scrabble and cards, doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and loved going to bingo. She is survived by her loving family her children; Patrick A. Burns and his wife Helga of LaPlata, MD, Anita O'Brien and her husband David of Flower Mound, TX. Her beloved grandchildren; Jason O'Brien and Gwynlon, Erinn O'Brien, Sannon Lippe and Matthew, and Patrick O'Brien. June Peed and John, Martin Thieleman and Sunah Her great grandchildren; Anthony Brookbank, Garrett and Taylor Peed, Katherine , Denise, Brandon, Miach and Noah Thieleman. Her sisters; Anna Marie Marcinko of Scottdale, and Marlene Pisula and her husband James of Angels Camp, CA, and Sister-in-law; Martha Marcinko of Raleigh, NC., and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Bernadine Burns of Mt. Pleasant, PA, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Burns of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, Florence was also preceded in death by her husband; Edward J. Burns in 1996, whom she was married to for 53 years, and her brother Andrew Marcinko and her sister Mildred Kapr. Family and friends will be received Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 11:00AM until 12:00-noon the time of her Memorial Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev.
