Obituary of Margaret M. Ketch

Mount Pleasant, Margaret M. Ketch Keic, age 92 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (08/26/12) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Ketch was born January 22, 1920 in Central, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Bohovecky Permuko. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant and its Holy Rosary Society. Margaret was employed for many years as custodian, along with her late husband Joe, for Mount Pleasant State Bank, and then when it became Pittsburgh National Bank. She retired in 1986. She loved embroidery work and enjoyed doing word puzzles. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She was a very gentle and kind lady. She had a kind word for everyone, and her smile was so very genuine, it will be remembered and missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Margaret is survived by her loving family: her children; Shirley J. Ritz and her husband John, Patricia L. Burke and her husband Ronald, all of Mt. Pleasant, by her beloved grandchildren; Sandra Yasika John Ritz, Jr. ,and Kelly Tammy Taylor and William, and Rodney Ritz and Dawn and by her great grandchildren; Ashley, Beth, Kara, Kaitlyn, Ryan, C.J., Andy, Jessie, Elizabeth and Aron. She is also survived by her sisters, Josephine Drab of Mt. Pleasant, and Joann Jurkowski of Akron, OH. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Ketch in 1975, her brother, Michael Permuko in 2002, and by her sisters, Agnes Haines in 2011, and Maryanne Libengood in 2009. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 1PM until 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 3:00PM followed by her 3:30 PM Funeral Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held on Tuesday @ 3:30PM, in the Funeral Home, and The Rosary Society will pray the rosary immediately following.
