Obituary of Glenn W. Lynn

RuffsDale, Glenn W. Lynn, age 84 of RuffsDale, PA, formerly of Perryopolis, died Saturday (7/28/12) in the Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon, PA. Mr. Lynn was born February 9, 1928 in Belle Vernon, PA, the son of the late Eli and Alfretta Crable Lynn. Glenn served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had worked as a truck driver for over 38 years for the Super Valu and Charlie Brothers Companies. He lived most of his life in the Perryopolis area before moving to RuffsDale in 1989. Glenn is survived by his loving family: His grandson, Nathan Ryan VanDyke and Breana Walko, of New Stanton, his sons; Glenn D. Lynn and Glenn Gossett, and his step-sons, Glenn Lerda and Robert VanDyke and Dawn. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Askey in 1990, his second wife, Rita D. Peoples VanDyke Lynn, and his daughter; Kristy VanDyke in 1996, and by his brothers and sisters; Emmerson, Richard, Ralph, Owen, Dale and Donald, Sarah, Edith, Clara and Merrill. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 7 until 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Glenn's Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday @11:00A M, with the Rev. Ralph A. Mostoller officiating. Interment with full military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446 will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
