Obituary of Richard A. Miller

Mount Pleasant, Richard A. Miller, age 53 of Mount Pleasant PA, went to his heavenly home Monday (6/11/2012) in the Excela Heath- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mr. Miller was born April 13, 1959 in Connellsville, PA, the son of Sara Harbaugh Miller of Mt. Pleasant, and the late Harry Reed Miller. He attended the Assembly of God Church of Mt. Pleasant. Richard was a 1957 graduate of Connellsville High School. He had been employed by the former Lenox Crystal Corp. and with the former Keck's Pepsi Plant in Kecksburg, and was a co-owner and mechanic with his late father at the former Miller Auto Repair Shop. Richard enjoyed hunting, antique cars and Street Rods, and loved listening to the Oldies, especially Doo-Wop. He enjoyed spending time with and talking to everyone. Richard had a special love for all animals. In addition to his mother, Sara Harbaugh Miller, he is survived by the love of his life of 20 years, "Boo Boo" Reida L. Miller, and his extended family; Ruth Vernon, Karen and Tony Sirianni and Gail and Tom Geyer all of Mt. Pleasant, and by his beloved dogs, Bubba J and Katie. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, PA. Funeral Services for Richard will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark E. Peachey officiating. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery, Saltlick Township.
