Obituary of Marvin Lee Lemley

Yukon, Marvin Lee Lemley, age 65 of Yukon, PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday (5/04/2012) in the Excela-Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. Mr. Lemley was born September 27, 1946 in Morgantown, WV, the son of the late Bertha Lemley . Marvin was a1966 graduate of Montour High School. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged. He worked for the former Volkswagen of America in Mt. Pleasant, and then retired from AmeriGas Co. of Hunker with 13 years of service. Marvin was very active and enjoyed riding his motorcycle with the Patriot Guards, and the Legion Riders, having served as Road Captain. Marvin was a member of the Connellsville American Legion Post #301. He was a loving father to his children and will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Marvin is survived by his loving family: his children; Dawn C. Barger and her husband Alan of Derry, Thomas Lee Lemley of Yukon, and Timothy Lee Lemley of West Newton, and by his brother; Thomas Hand and his wife Ramona of Jerome, Idaho. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Marvin's Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment with full military rites will be in the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies, Washington County.
