Obituary of Lawrence Paul Horak

Scottdale, Lawrence Paul Horak, age 66 of Scottdale PA, died Friday (04/20/12) in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Horak was born March 9, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Charles and Sophia Kubiak Horak. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. He was a 1964 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. Larry served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and had been employed as a Supervisor for Carry-All Products. Larry enjoyed fishing with his daughters, and spending time with his beloved dogs .He was a loving husband and father. Larry is survived by his loving family: his wife, Claudia Fedor Horak, his son, James Horak and his wife Nicole of Acme, by his daughters Corinna S. Horak, and Clarissa S. Horak, both at home, and by his granddaughter, Raegan Spencer Horak. He is also survived by his brother, Charles W. Horak and his wife Emma of Tennessee, and his sister, Charlotte Gonofsky and her husband John "Jack" of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers; Martin, Anthony and Robert Fasano. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held at 9:30AM Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by his 10:00AM Funeral Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery Of The Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
