Obituary of Zetta Irene Brening Wensel

Mount Pleasant, Zetta Irene Brening Wensel, age 90 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Friday (3/30/12) in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Wensel was born April 16, 1921 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle McBeth Brening. She attended the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, until moving to Canton, OH in 1955. She returned to her home town of Mount Pleasant in 2009 to live with her son and granddaughter. Her children were her life. She was an excellent homemaker, with a passion for cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed ceramics, and loved sharing her crafts and culinary delights with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. . She is survived by her loving family: her children; Ernest (Butch) Wensel and his wife Janet of Mt. Pleasant, her daughters; Myrtle G. Floyd and her husband Larry, and Zetta (Jeannie) Bennett and her husband Wes of Canton, OH, and her beloved grandchildren; Rachelle Adkins, Chad and Cynthia Wensel, Zetta (Pauli) and Jerry Carpenter, Chris and Randy Morris, and Elizabeth Bennett. She will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren; Cameron Adkins, Carter Wensel, Chase Wensel, Kitty and Jim Via, Jerry Carpenter, Joshua Bennett, and Jazmine Bennett and Great Great Grandchildren; Anthony Carpenter, Jimmy and Timmy Via. In addition to her parents, Zetta was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Wensel in 2007, her son,David James Wensel in 1992, and her brothers and sisters; Russell and Lloyd Brening, Lena Koontz, Emogene Soforic, Dessie, Josephine, Carrie, and Elsie Brening. Zetta is the last of her clan of six sisters and two brothers. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 12:00Noon until 2:00PM, the time of her funeral service, at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev.
