Obituary of Marc Joseph Antoine

Mount Pleasant, Marc Joseph Antoine, age 65 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (1/23/12) in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Antoine was born August 12, 1946 in Brussels, Belgium, the son of the late Robert and Jenny Lorand Antoine. Marc was a 1965 graduate of Harbrack High School. He had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Marc was employed as a Retail Manager for Walmart in Meadville, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2006 in Meadville. Marc enjoyed fishing, camping, and going to the casinos. His favorite pastime however was spending time and playing with his grandchildren. Marc is survived by his loving family; his wife of 23 years, Patricia L. Sebek Antoine, his children; Briand M. Antoine and his wife Denise of Glenshaw and Laura C. Barczykowski and her husband Matt of Lower Burrell; Marc is also survived by his sister and brother; Josiane P. McGinn and her husband James and Marcel W. Antoine and his wife Kim, all of Natrona Heights His step children: Jennifer L. Gilpin and her husband William of Tarrs, Suzanne Provlic and her husband Rickie of Mt. Pleasant, and Michele Bittner and her husband Clyde of West Newton. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Destiny Antoine, Cody Antoine, Dana Barczykowski, and Megan Barczykowski, and by his step grandchildren; Brian Provlic and Jess, Nicole Cunningham, Christopher Kaczynski, Brandi Bittner, Caitlin Bittner, and by his step great grandchildren; Zoey and Brianna Provlic, and Alyse Kaczynski, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addtion to his parents, Marc was preceded in death by his Uncle, William J. Lorand. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 - 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Marc's Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00AM in the funeral home with the Rev. J. Tim Hoover officiating. Interment with full military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446 will be in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
