Obituary of Margaret A. Mondock

Margaret A. “Peggy” Mondock, 87, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday January 6, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Mondock was born July 17, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Homer and Helen Connors Haney.

Margaret was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  She worked at Frick Hospital in the housekeeping department for over 20 years.  Peggy enjoyed going to dinner, doing her word searches, and sitting on her front porch talking with her special neighbor Tim.  She also cherished the time spent with her sister Elaine especially when they went thrift shopping.  Her cabin and the memories that she shared with her husband and family meant the most to her.  She loved to reminisce about the good times!

Peggy is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Donna J. Smith, and Barbara L. Conn (Robert); her granddaughters, Lindsay Kuhn (Justin), Shelby Conn (Alex), and Taylor Knauff (Steve); her great grandchildren, Ryan, Kinley, Harper, and Lily; and by her sister, Elaine Daugherty.  She is also survived by her sisters-n-law, Ruth Mondock, and Evelyn Depalma, her brother-in-law, Ronald Mondock (Carol); her faithful canine companion, Benji; and by her numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bernard R. Mondock in 2012; her son, Bernard Mondock Jr. in 1973; and by her son-in-law, Tom Smith.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant.  A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Visitation Parish Cemetery.  To offer an online condolence please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
