Obituary of Sandra L. Strickler

Yukon, Sandra L. Fiedor Strickler, age 45 of Yukon PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday (11/5/2011) in Excela Heath- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Strickler was born October 25, 1966 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of Joan Helkowski Fiedor of Mt.Pleasant,and the late Eugene Fiedor. Sandra was a member of the former Transfiguration Parish of Mt. Pleasant. She was a 1984 graduate of Geibel High School, and earned an Associates Degree in Food Service Management at the Westmoreland County Community College. Sandra was employed as the Manager of the Little Caesars Pizza at the Mt. Pleasant Kmart for 24 years. She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin's fan, and was eagerly awaiting the return of her favorite player, Sidney Crosby. She was a true animal lover, and adored her beloved pets, her dog Bella and her cat Koda. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, and a caring and devoted friend to many. She was very outgoing and her smile will always be remembered by all who knew her. Sandy is survived by her loving family: her mother, her husband, Danny A. Strickler, her son, Alan Eugene Strickler and her sister, Jeannine Fiedor, of Mt. Pleasant. She will be greatly missed by her father-in-law and mother-in- law Joseph P. and Susan K. Thomas of Everson, and by numerous brothers and sisters- in- law and nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Fiedor on October 26, 2011. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 3 to 5 & 6 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held @9:30AM Wednesday in the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A Parish Wake service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday @3:30PM.
