Obituary of Celine Ann Proud

 

Celine Ann Proud, 95, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday December 21, 2024 at the Villages of Amber House surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Proud was born July 25, 1929 in Everson to the late Stanley Charles and Cecilia Menes Marciniak.

 

Celine was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  She volunteered at the church festivals and at the Mt. Pleasant VFW in the kitchen.  She worked at Holy Trinity School as a cook and cafeteria supervisor for over 25 years.  Celine was also a former member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW Ladies Auxiliary. 

 

Celine is survived by her loving family, her sons, George T. Proud, and Lawrence T. Proud (Beverly) both of Mt. Pleasant; her granddaughters, Erin Proud (Greg) of Erie, and Leah Proud of Tucson, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Celine was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas L. “Red” Proud; daughter-in-law, Lynn Ann Proud; and by her siblings, Joseph, Edward, Marion, Frances, and Angie.

 

In honoring Celine’s wishes there will not be any hours of public visitation.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery.  To offer an online condolence please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
