Obituary of Janice M. Guzik

Janice M. Guzik, 86, of Manor died Sunday November 24, 2024 at Westmoreland Hospital with her loving family by her side.  Ms. Guzik was born July 18, 1938 in Harrison City to the late Levi and Mary Payne Holderbaum.

Janice was a graduate of Penn Joint High School class of 1956.  She was a member of Living Word Congregational Church in Greensburg.  She worked at McDonalds in North Huntingdon until she retired at the age of 82.  Janice loved being outdoors, planting her yearly flowers, sitting on her porch, and most of all spending time with her family.

Janice is survived by her loving family, her children, Cindy Kretchek, and John J. Guzik Sr. (Brenda); her grandchildren, Adam Guzik (Sarah), Amy Guzik, John J. Guzik Jr. (Sarah), and Greg Guzik; and by her great-grandchildren, Gabe, Isaac, Isabelle, Eleanor, and Emma.  In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kelly G. Kretchek; and by her siblings, Norma Silvis, and Gordon Holderbaum.

In honoring Janice’s wishes there will be no public hours of visitation.  A private inurnment will be held in Twin Valley Cemetery at a later date.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
