I remember walking to the bus stop in the mornings, seeing "Margaret 'Peggy' Abramowitz for School Board" stapled to the telephone poles. I got stuck on the thought, "How do you get 'Peggy'from 'Margaret?'" I didn't understand too much about the election whole thing. Later, when I grew up a bit, I realized what a strong community leader she was and put the "Peggy" thing on the back burner (it's still there). Her leadership role may be filled, but she will never be replaced.
