Obituary of James B. Queer

James B. Queer, 75, of Mt. Pleasant (Bullskin Twp.) died Tuesday September 24, 2024 at The Grove at Latrobe.  Mr. Queer was born October 30, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Arthur Queer and Opal Porch Queer Scherer.

James worked as a truck driver for Painter Coal Company, Eutsey Lumber Company, and Goodwill.  He was a former Bullskin Twp. Volunteer Fireman.  Jim was a member of the Bridgeport Sportmans Club and the Sons of Italy in Scottdale.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tractor pulls, demolition derby’s, helping out at the Bullskin Twp. Fair, and milking cows.

Jim is survived by his loving family, his wife of 51 years, Sandy Sirgey Queer; his son, Jim Queer (Kelly Galla); his daughters, Shery Queer, and Tami Tabich (Carl); 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and by his siblings, Ruth Scherer, Tressa Cesario, Dennis Scherer, and David Scherer.  In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Elmer Scherer, and Connie DeArmit.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
