Obituary of Robert Dean Smith

Robert D. “Smitty” Smith, 71, of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday September 15, 2024.  Mr. Smith was born February 27, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant to the late William and Mary T. Fontanazza Smith.

Robert was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School and worked as a delivery driver for several companies in the area.  He enjoyed painting, bowling, listening to music, being outdoors, a good pizza, elephants and eagles, and spending time with his family.  His loving sister, Darlene was his caregiver and he made it a point to tell everyone how much he loved and appreciated her.

Robert is survived by his siblings, his extended family, and numerous friends.    

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday September 25th from 11 a.m. until the hour of Smitty’s Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. in Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
