Obituary of Edward C. Koontz

Edward C. Koontz, 58, of Mill Run, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday August 28, 2024 at Independence Health System-Frick Hospital.  Mr. Koontz was born January 17, 1966 in Pittsburgh to the late Randall and Delta Muschick Koontz.

Ed is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Leah Basaria (Raf); fiancé of 13 years; Beverly Ritenour; step-children, Amanda, Jason (Chrissy), Katie (Adam), Michael (Jennifer); 15 grandchildren; and by his siblings, Gary Edmundson, Randall Koontz (Ruth), Christopher Koontz (Brenda), and Brian Koontz.  In addition to his parents, Edward preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Koontz; and brother, Anthony Koontz.  Ed will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
