Obituary of Karen G. Gross

Karen Gail Humbrecht Gross, 59, of Alverton, PA passed away August 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born December 14,1964 in Berlin, NJ, to the late Catherine (Roach) and Lawrence Humbrecht.

Karen’s career was spent in the convenience and retail industries. Throughout her work life she worked and excelled with BFS, Co-Go’s, Texaco, and Dollar General. She was very dedicated to her work, and she was an excellent leader and mentor for others.

She enjoyed her free time, as well. She loved swimming or working around her home, taking Sunday rides with her husband, Scott, on their Harley, or just taking adventures with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmom, Carol Humbrecht, and nephews, William ‘Billy’ Stein, and Jeffery Poole. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Harry ‘Scott’ Gross, and sons Joshua ‘Scottie’ Gross and Chad (Michaela)Gross. She truly adored being MiMi to grandchildren Syndil, Cullette, Jayce, and Aspen Gross. She will be missed by her many siblings: Terry (Michelle) Humbrecht, Debbie Stein, Brenda (Arthur) Evangelista, Kevin (Beth) Humbrecht, Eric (Dawna) Poole, Kristy (Jim) Garsteck, Robin (Michael) Cacese, Robert (Nancy) Poole, Annette ‘Speen’ Poole, numerous nieces and nephews, Aunt Cass, and many cousins. To her husband’s parents, Betty and Harry Gross, she was truly a daughter in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday September 8, 2024 at the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 3368 at 2:30 p.m.  The family would also like to invite everyone after for an informal celebration at Helltown Brewing in Mt. Pleasant.
