Obituary of Michael S. Carns

Michael S. Carns, 55, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday June 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Carns was born April 24 , 1969 in Mt. Pleasant to the late William Carns and Jill Gunsallus Weyandt.

Mike was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School class of 1987.  He worked for Gulisek Construction for over 20 years.  He was a member of the Carpenters Union and Laurelville Sportsman’s Club.  Mike enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family. 

Mike is survived by his loving family, his wife, Tracey Dawson Carns; his children, Shalyn Sirianna (Mike), and Shane Carns (Sydney); and by his grandchildren, Casen, Zander, Braxtin, and Tripp.  He is also survived by his sister, Lori Carns Weld (John); brother-in-law, Scott Dawson; his faithful dog, Meeka; and by numerous extended family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  Additional visitation hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 until the hour of his funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
