Obituary of Robert Dale Landy Sr.

Robert Dale Landy Sr., 92, of Bullskin Township, passed away Friday, June 7th, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Born April 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Alma C. (Stout) Landy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by  his wife, Norma Jean (Kwak) Landy; a son, Robert D. Landy Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Kwak, and Betty Lewis; and brothers, John, Ray, and William Landy.

Robert was a skilled construction worker and member of the Operating Engineers Local 66 since 1963. Robert was a devout Christian and family man, loved by many and noted as a strong yet gentle soul. He attended Epiphany Anglican Fellowship of Ligonier. He loved to travel to New England and eastern Canada and was an avid hunter and gardener.

Robert is survived by his loving sons, Timothy Lee Landy, of Mt. Pleasant, and Scott D. (Leanna) Landy, of Acme; and grandchildren, Angeline (Eric) Duffy, and Scott D. Landy II, both of Greensburg, and great-granddaughter, Camryn Duffy.

Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street Mount Pleasant, PA, where his funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev.
