Obituary of Mary A. Lobingier

Mary A. “Marie” Lobingier, 98, of Lewes, Delaware, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday May 1, 2024 at Beebe Healthcare.  Mrs. Lobingier was born March 19, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, to the late William and Blanche Shawley Anthony.

Marie was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School.   She was a member of the Reunion Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant.  Marie had many talents, as a baker, candy maker, and cook.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, reading a good book, and doing jigsaw puzzles. 

Marie is survived by her loving family, her children, Linda Costabile-Johnson (Michael) of Lewes, DE, and James Costabile (Nilda) of Davie, FL; her granddaughter, Jennifer Costabile; her step-daughters-in-law, Sue, Maureen, and Ellie Lobingier; and by her step-grandchildren, John, Chris, David, and Doug Lobingier.  In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. “Doggie” Lobingier; her step-sons, Frank, John, David, and Peter Lobingier; and by her siblings, Willie, George, Sammie, Lizzie, and Jenny.

Family and friends will be received at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of her Funeral Service at Noon.  Interment in Mt.
