Susan “Sue” Marie Waite passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024.

Sue was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on May 9th, 1954, to Bob and Bea Waite, of Bear Rocks, PA. Sue spent the early part of her professional life as a business and school system administrative assistant, and went on to live out her purpose as a long-time caretaker of her family and as a nursing assistant. She loved spending time with her local community, especially the Christian Mothers of St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish.

Sue is survived by her children Lydia Snyder and Courtney Snyder, both of Boulder, CO, and her siblings Ann Lauver of Spring Mills, PA, and John Waite of Brevard, NC.

A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. Sue will be buried this summer in Crates, PA, a place where she felt most herself, closest to her childhood, and to her family heritage. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McGee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation in memory of Susan Waite.
