Obituary of Ronald L. Baird Jr.

 

 

 

Ronald L. Baird Jr., 61, of Dawson died Wednesday April 3, 2024 in Independence Health System-Westmoreland Hospital.  Ronald was born Feburary 13, 1963 in Youngstown, OH, to Patricia Burkhart Baird and the late Ronald L. Baird Sr.

 

Ronald was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School class of 1981.  He was a member of the NRA and the Trumbull Moose lodge #186.  Ronnie worked for Monro Muffler as an assistant manager for more than 30 years and Kenny Ross Automotive Group as a service technician for 5 years.  Ronnie’s true passion was working on cars.  He would often lend a hand fixing his family and friends cars, whenever they needed.  Ronnie also enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas, for all of his family and friends. 

 

Ronnie is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Rachel Baird Alahmad (Ahmad "Alex"); his mother, Patricia Burkhart Baird; his siblings, Brenda Gustovich (Jeffry), and Joe Baird (Christina); his nieces and nephew, Sarella Sekola (Sean), Natalie Gustovich, Joey Baird, and Hannah Baird; and his two great-nieces.  He is also survived by his aunts, Newanna Sue Gelotti, Brenda Baird, Mary Burkhart, and Joann Burkhart; and numerous cousins, and friends.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Baird Sr. in 2020.

 

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10:30 until the hour of his Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Olive Evangelical Church 363 Pleasant Valley Rd. Connellsville, PA 15425 with Rev. Lee Maley, officiating.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, Mt.
