Obituary of Constance L. Steiner

Constance Louise Zylka Steiner, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Steiner was born May 16, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant to the late John S. and Elsie Mae McConnell Zylka Sr.

Connie was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School class of 1959.  She loved to travel, cook, and especially host holidays and birthdays for her family.  Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Connie is survived by her loving family, her husband of 62 years, William G. Steiner; her children, Lisa Walters (Cliff), Dana Schambura ( Mark Knych), and William J. Steiner (Hannah); her grandchildren, April Niyamuddin (Dr. Anthony), Clifford R. Walters III (Jennifer), and Megan Martinho (Joao); and by her great-grandchildren, Owen, Sophie, and Miles Niyamuddin, and baby Matilda due in April.  She is also survived by her siblings, Elsie Bugosh (Edward), and John Zylka Jr. (Penny).  In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jean Hatter.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc. 204 Eagle St. Mt.
