Obituary of Josephine Ann Dreliszak Patula

Mount Pleasant, Josephine Ann Dreliszak Patula, age 81 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (09/28/2011) in the Hazard Blue Grass Hospice, Hazard, KY. Mrs. Patula was born March 17, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Siemanowska Dreliszak. . Mrs. Patula was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and a member of the former Transfiguration Parish. She was a 1947 graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. Josephine enjoyed cooking and baking and loved spending time outdoors in her garden. She is survived by her loving family: her sons; Kenneth Christopher Patula and his wife Diana of Hazard, KY, Carl Dennis Patula and his wife Kimberly of Raleigh, NC, and her grandchildren; Shawn Patula and his wife Kristi, Paul, Casey, Patrick and Stephen Patula. Josephine is also survived by her sisters; Genevieve Dreliszak , Leona Dreliszak, and Jane Hendricks all of Scottdale. In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Patula in 2003, her son, Christopher Patula in 1956, and by her brothers and sisters; Leo, Casimer, Alvin, Stanley and John Dreliszak, Catherine Kaczmarek, and Bernice Lukasik. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R C Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1705 W.
