Obituary of Isabelle A. McElfresh

 

 

Isabelle A. McElfresh, 98, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday February 1, 2024 at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  Mrs. McElfresh was born November 4, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Jon and Mary Novotny Havash. 

 

Isabelle was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and their Christian Mothers Society.  She was a graduate of Hurst High School.  Isabelle enjoyed doing puzzles with her friend Dee, while she was at Ridgeview Residential Center.  Isabelle will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

 

She is survived by her loving family, her children, Richard McElfresh (Jan), Jim McElfresh, and Darlene Wiltrout (Bob); her daughter-in-law, Dawn McElfresh; her grandchildren, Chris Moore (Catherine), Matthew McElfresh (Dawn), Shannon Giovannini (Dr. David), Ryan McElfresh (Megan), Danielle Wiltrout ( Brian), Dylan McElfresh, Cody Wiltrout (Brandi), and Tyler McElfresh; and by her seven great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. McElfresh Jr.; her son, Edward McElfresh; and by numerous siblings.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 740 Walnut St. Mt. Pleasant, at 11 a.m.  A private interment will follow in Visitation Parish Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Isabelle A.
