Obituary of John V. Rubino

John V. Rubino, 91, of West Homestead formerly of Connellsville, passed away Monday September 25, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.   John was born September 30, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, to the late John Rubino and the late Camilla Jordan Varholla. 

John was a graduate of Ramsay High School class of 1950. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.  He worked for many years for US Steel Homestead Works and was a member of the Elks Post #503 of Connellsville. 

John is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Vicky Golden (Gary Hartman); his granddaughter, Paula Jane Fitz; his 4 great-grandsons; his sister, Isabel Brodak (John), and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his step-father, George Varholla.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for John on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Mt.
