Obituary of Carl B. Benson

Carl "Johnson" B. Benson, 79, of Everson, died suddenly at home on Monday, June
19, 2023. Carl was born June 18, 1944 in Braddock to the late Carl and Virginia
Carr Benson.  

Carl attended St. Anselm's High School and honorably served his country as a
submariner in the United States Navy.  He worked the last decades of his life
as a handyman.  Carl enjoyed being outdoors, and reading, studying, meditating
on, and sharing the Bible. He followed Jesus.

Carl is survived by loving family, his sons, Carl M. Benson and Benjamin
Benson (Debbie); his grandsons, Tim and Dan; and by his siblings, Virginia
Starcevic, Mary Patricia Betar (Donnie), Mark Benson (Susie), Ida "Sissy"
Hutchinson, and Jacqueline Spagiare (Bob); also survived by numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded
in death by his wife, Carol A. Austin Benson on February 3, 2023; and his
sister, Danielle A. Hogan.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1:00 To 5:00 p.m. at
Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant.  In lieu of flowers
