Obituary of Daniel G. Koval

Daniel G. Koval, 89 of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday April 26, 2023 in Excela-Health Westmoreland Hospital.  Mr. Koval was born May 26, 1933 in Scottdale to the late Metro and Marie Kors Koval.  

Daniel was a member of former Transfiguration Parish and a current member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.  He was a graduate of Scottdale High School, and he proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Dan worked for many years at U.S. Steel. 

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Mientus Koval; his loving children, Stephen Koval, Karen Koval ( Matt Mulvihill), and Mark Koval (Angela); and by his adoring grandchildren, Alex, Megan, and Ryan Koval.  In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his siblings, William and Mary Ann Koval. 

Family and friends are invited on Sunday April 30^th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant.  A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 Am in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Transfiguration Parish Cemetery.  To offer an online condolence please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
