Obituary of Harry K. Mardis

Harry "Larry" Keith Mardis, 81 of Scottdale, PA died Monday (4/24/2023) at Amber House, surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Mardis was born December 20, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late LuVernon F. and Helen G. Rinard Mardis.

Harry was a 1960 graduate of the former Scottdale High School.  He joined the National Guard in 1964 and served until 1970.  He then worked for many years as a cabinet maker for several different businesses, including Valley Kitchens for the majority of his years.  He enjoyed watching football with his wife, and auto racing, which included many years of supporting his grandson Ronald Eiford III in his years of racing at Motordrome and Jennerstown Speedway.  He also loved planting his vegetable garden every year, hunting, and spending time with his loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Marie (Lynn) Mardis on September 10, 2018, and his eight siblings.

Harry will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his loving family, his daughters, Kimberly Lynn Eiford (Ronald), Kathleen Marie Raffensperger (James), and Kristin Dawn Liberoni (Timothy Kopcho); his loving grandchildren, Ronald Eiford III (Julie), Katelyn Mardis, Cassaundra Prinkey (Matthew), Tyler Akins, Taylor Akins, and Grace Raffensperger; and by his adoring great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Annabelle, Aubree, Landon, and Elowyn.  He is also survived by his siblings, Jack Mardis and Beverly Hatter.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  A Funeral Service for Harry will be held on Friday at 11:00 Am in the Funeral Home with Rev.
