Obituary of Paula V. Torcaso

Paula V. Keefer Torcaso, 58, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday March 21, 2023, In Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.  Paula was born February 15, 1965 in Mt. Pleasant to Loretta Kaczmarek Keefer and the late Paul W. Keefer.

Paula was a member of Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  She was a graduate of Southmoreland High School class of 1983 and WCCC.  Paula loved sports, especially softball, basketball, and golf.  She continued her love for sports by coaching many local area teams, Mt. Pleasant youth softball, Mt. Pleasant high school softball, and Pitt Greensburg softball, Mt. Pleasant youth basketball, AAU basketball, and Nitro softball.  She was a lucky member of the Assunta Club in Mt. Pleasant  Paula loved animals, especially her loving canine companions, Yogi, Cash, and Luigi.  Paula also loved spending time with her mom, making her famous Pauline's pierogi's. 

Paula is survived by her loving mother, Loretta Keefer; her husband James Torcaso; her brothers, Gregory Keefer, Mark Keefer, and David Keefer; her special nieces and nephews, Dr. Rory Keefer D.V.M., Gabrielle Keefer, Jaydra Keefer, and Ava Keefer; and by many close friends.  Paula was preceded in death by her father, Paul W. Keefer in 1998. 

Family and friends will be received Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  Inurnment will follow in Transfiguration Parish Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in loving memory of Paula V.
