Obituary of Carol A. Benson

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Carol (Austin) Benson, 79, of Swissvale, PA on February 3, 2023.  Carol was born June 7, 1943 in Swissvale to the late Charles E. and Frances E. Brier Austin.

Carol was a graduate of St. Anselms High School, a hair dresser, and most recently an insurance agent for Insurance Services of Greensburg.  Carol enjoyed doing her nails.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carl Benson; her sons, Michael (Denise) and Benjamin (Debbie); her two grandsons, Tim and Dan; her sister, Kitty Damp (Harry); and her niece, Debbie.  In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Charles.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday February 9th at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt.
