Obituary of Kendal S. Dusenbery

Kendal Stuart Dusenbery, 88, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday December 24, 2022 in Excela-Health Frick Hospital.  Kendal was born February 2, 1934 in Mendon to the late Forrest R. and M. Frances Null Dusenbery. 

Kendal was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, where he was a faithful member of the kitchen crew.  He was a 1951 graduate of South Huntingdon High School and served in the U.S. Army for two years.  Kendal worked for more than 42 years for the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County.

Kendal is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Anna Landy Dusenbery; his loving children, Dr. David Dusenbery (Mary Margaret) of Cumberland, MD, and Janice (Michael) Bazzar of Mt. Pleasant; his loving grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Emma, Anna, and Samuel; and by his adoring great-grandchildren, Justin, Lily, Jacob, Forrest, and baby Cappock on the way.  Kendal is also survived by his sister-in-laws, Elinor Dusenbery, and Elsie and Ann Landy.  In addition to his parents, Kendal was preceded in death by his siblings, Keith Dusenbery, Miriam Graft, Kay Dusenbery, Madelyn Shaulis, Kent Dusenbery, and Marcia Dusenbery.

Family and friends are invited on Friday December 30^th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM the hour of his blessing service at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  A funeral mass will follow at 12:30 PM at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368 both of Mt. Pleasant.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to St. Pius X Church, in memory of Kendal S.
