Obituary of Philomena C. Grohal

Philomena C. Grohal, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, died December 16, 2022 in Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville.  Philomena was born October 25, 1955 in Greensburg to the late John and Philomena DelDuca Sembiante.

Mrs. Grohal was a faithful member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  She served as a Eucharistic minister and was part of the church choir.  Philomena was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School.  She later went on to work as a nurses aide at Nobles Personal Care Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Philomena is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, William Grohal of Mt. Pleasant; her loving daughter, Lucille Urban and her husband Mike of Norvelt; and her adoring grandsons, who affectionately called her “Mummels”, Carter and Noah Urban.  She is also survived by her siblings, Anthony Sembiante, Angelo Sembiante, Marie Heasley, Mary Wilson, and Anna Wimberly.  In addition to her parents Philomena was preceded in death by her siblings, John Sembiante and Bernadette Rowe.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday December 20^th at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant, from 10:30 until the time of her blessing service at 12:30 PM.  Her funeral mass will follow at 1:00 PM in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.  To offer an online condolence please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
