Obituary of George A. Thomas

George A. Thomas, 52, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday October 23, 2022.  George was born March 2, 1970 in Mt. Pleasant to Concetta "Connie" Yancosky Thomas and the late Terry A. Thomas. 

George loved to be outdoors.  You could often find him hiking, camping, hunting, and canoeing.  He was an excellent gardener and he enjoyed watching boxing.  George had a good soul and showed kindness to everyone.

George is survived by his mother, Connie Thomas; his siblings, Jennifer Williamson (Mike), Terri Thomas, April Braun, and Anthony Thomas (Heather); his nieces and nephews, Adam Thomas (Shannon), Breanna Thomas, Grant Braun, Griffin Williamson, Zakory Zipnock, Lazarus Thomas, and Jasmine Povlik; and by his great niece, Estella Thomas.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncle, Anna Forsythe, Joseph "Coke" Yancosky (Carol), Toni Kuester (Steve), Karen Thomas, and Nancy Thomas; his best friends, Bart Baird and Dennis Cook; and numerous cousins, and friends.  In addition to his father George was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles, and family members.

A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday October 29^th from 12 to 3 PM at the Assunta Club, 205 Oak St., Mt.
