Obituary of Waide E. Miller
Waide E. Miller, 98, of Alverton, died Wednesday September 28, 2022 in Woodcrest Senior Living. Mr. Miller was born February 13, 1924 in Pennsville to the late Norman and Hettie Brinker Miller.
Waide was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and a graduate of East Huntington High School. Mr. Miller proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. Waide worked at Brown Boveri as a electrician and was an avid woodworker. He loved the outdoors, especially spending a lot to time at his cabin in forest county hunting and fishing. Waide was an excellent gardener and always had the most beautiful Tulips.
Waide is survived by his loving children, Waide Miller (Sue) of Mt. Pleasant, Lynne Gribble of Scottdale, and Dianne Sullenberger of Mt. Pleasant; his loving grandchildren, Teri Schanck, Sean Gribble, and Lissa Ladowitz; and by his beloved great-grandchildren, Lille, Paige, Kayla, Kaleb. In addition to his parents Waide was preceded in death by his step-mother, Elizabeth Miller; his wife, Dorothy "Jeanne" Johnson Miller; his grandson, Matthew Gribble; his brother, Norman Miller; and his sons-in-law, Leslie B. Gribble and Dave A. Sullenberger.
Family and friends are invited on Tuesday October 4th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Shirer officiating. Interment will follow in the Alverton Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post 446.
