Obituary of Janet Wagner

Janet D. Wagner age 78, of Harrison City, passed away Wednesday September 28, 2022 at Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center in Greensburg.  She was born February 14, 1944 in New Alexandria, to the late Robert R. and Ruth Schott Duffield.

Mrs. Wagner was a member of Middle Presbyterian Church, and also attended Congruity Presbyterian Church in New Alexandria.  Janet was a graduate of Greensburg High School class of 1962, and a 1965 graduate of Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing.  She retired in the O.R. after 37 years of working at Westmoreland Hospital.  Janet later worked at the Laurel Surgical Center in Greensburg and was co-owner of Wagner Nursery in Latrobe.  She was also a Westmoreland County Master Gardener, volunteered as Superintendent at the Westmoreland County Fair and as an Usher at the Greensburg Palace Theater. 

Janet is survived by her husband, Donald J. Wagner; her three children, Dawn of Greensburg, Dana and her husband Steve of Harrison City, and Devin and his wife Sarah of Export; her beloved nine grandchildren, Caitlin, Allison, Zara, Zaiden, Leah, Micah, Noah, Branden, and Aiden; and her loving cat, Dusty. 

In Honoring Janet's wishes all services will be private for her family.  A private inurnment will be held at Middle Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  All arrangements have been entrusted to the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, Mt.
