Obituary of Connie M. Clausner

Connie M. Clausner, age 86 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday, July 25, 2022 in Excela Heath- Frick Hospital Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Clausner was born June 23, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of the late Raymond and Adelaide McFadden McCloy.

Mrs. Clausner was an active member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was a 1954 graduate of East Huntingdon High School where she was a cheerleader and the Homecoming Queen. Connie worked at the Clausner family tire shop alongside her husband as the secretary.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who cherished taking care of her family and baking her famous chocolate chip cookies. Connie was an active tennis player, loved walking outdoors and enjoyed crocheting.

Connie is survived by her loving husband , Jordan Clausner with whom they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in November.  Her beloved daughters, Gretchen Szelong (Wally), Pamela Gibasiewicz (Jeff), and Linda Kaputa. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren who fondly called her Grammy and Mimi, Scott Szelong, Jordyn Naggy, Jena Wiltrout (Matt), Alexa Szelong, Ally Kaputa and great grandson Henry Szelong. Her sister Sally Muko and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Alex Naggy, her brother Meritt McCloy and twin brother Donnie McCloy, and sisters Arlene Herd, Luella Bryson and Sylvia Bergman.

In honoring Connie's wishes, all services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Galone Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
