Obituary of Stephen Michael Cibulas
Stephen Michael Cibulas of Allen Park, MI formerly of Norvelt, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 62 years to Beverly (Caruso) Cibulas. Loving father of Stephen Michael Cibulas, Jr. (Sandra) and Beth (Todd) Chumley. Cherished grandfather of Megan (Alex) Shumway, Max Chumley, Caroline Cibulas, Jack Chumley, and Stephen Cibulas. Dear brother of Irene Balazek, Ann Maichak, Mary Goswick, and Robert (Marlene) Cibulas. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Cibulas, his brothers Joseph, John, Edward, Bill, Eugene, and his granddaughter Alexandra.
Stephen was a retiree from the Chrysler Corporation, and General Physics Corporation. He was an Alumnus of St Vincent College (Latrobe, PA) and Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), and a Veteran of the US Armed Services.
Steve will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and always positive disposition. His greatest joy was his family, and he never missed a chance to lend a hand or to tell his siblings, children and grandchildren how proud he was of them. The many stories he shared with and thoughtful letters that he wrote to his family members will be cherished forever.
A Mass of Resurrection was held in Stephen’s honor on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Allen Park. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Allie’s Angels (c/o 325 Overhill Road Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301) ,in Stephen’s honor.
