William Vise

Obituary of William F. Vise

William F. “Bill” Vise, age 73 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Excela Health-Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Mr. Vise was born December 21, 1948 in Mount Pleasant, the son of the late Dorothy Vise.

He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School and had attended West Virginia University. Bill was the paint department Supervisor at Volkswagen prior to a long career as an Insurance Agent. He had a robust personality and never left you guessing where he stood on a particular matter. Bill was a lifelong fan of Pitt Panthers Athletics, attending countless football and basketball games over the years.  He enjoyed cooking, gardening, golfing, vacationing on the Outer Banks with his family and spending time with his granddaughter, Lydia Rose. Bill developed a love of The Beatles in high school that lasted throughout his lifetime and he passed away on the birthday of his favorite, Paul McCartney. "A long and winding road indeed."

He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 52 years, Kathryn A. Blanda Vise, his son, Christian Vise (Melissa), his daughter, Karah Savolskis (Greg) and by his beloved granddaughter, Lydia Savolskis. Bill is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia McHugh (Michael), great nephews Nicholas and Zachary Petrosky and numerous cousins
